Built to recover the repair revenue dealerships lose every day
Dealerships earn a large share of their revenue from servicing. As vehicles need less maintenance, and as EV adoption reduces servicing further, that revenue is shrinking.
At the same time, manual inspections miss cosmetic damage every day, and the repair work attached to it never reaches a quote.
CMT Scanner was built to recover that lost work. It inspects every vehicle automatically and turns each service visit into a repair, trade, or reconditioning opportunity.
ABOUT US
Why CMT Scanner exists
Manual inspections are slow, vary between staff, depend on individual skill, and rarely lead to a commercial outcome. CMT Scanner replaces that with a system that’s fast, consistent, scalable, and built to generate revenue.
TRANSFORMING VEHICLE INSPECTIONS
From catastrophe response to the service lane
CMT Scanner started as a tool for insurers. It was built to assess high volumes of vehicle damage quickly and consistently during catastrophic weather events, where manual inspection could not keep up.
The same problem existed across the wider industry. Inspections needed to
be faster, more consistent, and able to scale. That technology now runs in dealerships, fleets, and automotive operations, turning inspections into revenue and operational results.
FOUNDER
Built by someone who knows the industry
CMT Scanner was founded by John Ashton, who spent years in vehicle repair operations and PDR training. Across high-volume damage assessment work, one problem kept cropping up: the industry had no fast, consistent, scalable way to assess vehicle condition, and dealerships were losing money on it every day.
“Dealerships needed new ways to protect and grow revenue, and CMT Scanner is made to do both.”
